Stainless Steel 304
Stainless Steel is a type of metal that was invented by mixing some metals altogether. Stainless Steel is a strong alloy that is combined with many metals. Metals like Chromium, Nickel, Molybdenum, Silicon, Aluminium, and most importantly Carbon are the components of this alloy. Stainless Steel is very strong and effective all because of all the metals, chromium has 10–11% part in SS that gives a gleaming property to the alloy, carbon has 0.03–1.00% part and it provides strength to the steel.
Â
Stainless steel has several grades under it and each has its distinct property. Stainless Steel 304 is the one that forged fittings are mostly made up of. Stainless Steel is an optimum metal as it is far stronger than many other metals and durable. The forged fittings made up of Stainless Steel 304 grades have the tensile strength of almost 75000 PSI, 515- MPa, and a melting point of 1400°C, yield strength Psi — 30000, MPa — 205. 304 is a distinct metal and superior to other metals in terms of application.

Forged Fittings
Fittings are parts or instruments used in piping systems to connect straight forged s, bent forged s, etc. for running the water or fluid continuously avoiding any leakage. These are called forged fittings in normal terms however they are also named as per their materials and used and one such is Forged Fittings. The Forged Fittings are forged by machines and are relatively stronger and heavier than the usual ones. These fittings are made up of Stainless Steel are widely renowned for their durability, hefty finish, exact dimensions, optimum design, and resistance.

Uses of Stainless Steel Forged Fittings
Stainless steel is a metal made up of certain materials in specific proportions, such as Chromium up to 18%, Carbon 0.8 percent, Manganese 2%, Nickel 8%, Silicon, Molybdenum, and so on. Nickel has the property of being resistant to a variety of conditions, and Carbon aids in maintaining the metal’s strength, while chromium gives it a lustrous appearance, and Molybdenum protects it from scale corrosion. So, while Stainless Steel Forged Fittings are heavy, they are also very durable and stronger, and most importantly, they are resistant to a variety of fluids and chemicals, making them ideal for use in piping systems.

Applications of Stainless Steel 304 Forged Fittings
A lot of industries prefer Stainless Steel because it has good properties for use. These industries are massive and huge in terms of production so, of course, they require a strong material for keeping their production consistent. Every industry relies on stainless steel 304. The food and Beverage industry use vessels made up of this alloy because it avoids any chemical reaction or chemical mixing between the alloy and substance for the very same reason Petrochemical, Oil, and Gas industries use Stainless Steel 304 forged fittings. The SS 304 forged fittings applications are also used in Offshore and Onshore drillings because it is an excellent material that prevents leakage of the fluid.

Petroleum refinery sectors such as catalytic, recuperator; Power Generation plants, Thermal plants, Nuclear Plants, Solar Power Plants, Petrochemical and Refineries, Marine, Dredging, Offshore and Onshore drilling, Pharmaceutical industry, Paper Production are some of the other major industries that use SS forged fittings. Forged Fittings are commonly used in construction, and the fittings required for construction are larger in size than ordinary fittings.
