Compression Tube Fittings
Compression Tube Fittings are small fittings that have the ability to compress high pressure effectively. Compression fittings are used to link metal and plastic tubes and pipes together. Compression fittings are used in systems ranging from gas lines in refineries to the plumbing under your sink. They are known for their capacity to tolerate high temperatures and pressure, as well as their ability to work with abrasive fluids. Compression fittings are utilized in a variety of industries that produce high pressure, and they are specifically designed to perform in these environments.
The compression nut, compression ring, and compression seat are the three components that make up a compression fitting. A compression fitting is a form of connection that is used to join two pipes together or to connect a pipe to a fixture or valve. It is divided into three sections. The compression nut, compression ring, and compression seat are all components of the compression system. The compression ring is put onto the pipe after the nut. The pipe is threaded through the fittings, and the nut is tightened around it. The compression ring is driven into the seat as the nut is tightened, forcing it to compress against the pipe and the compression nut, resulting in a watertight connection. Materials such as brass, plastic, copper, and stainless steel are commonly utilized in compression fittings.
Compression Tube Fittings are divided into two categories: Type-A or non-manipulative fittings, and Type-B or manipulative fittings, which are easy to install and do not require tube changes. Type A compression fittings, commonly known as olives, is used to tighten the surrounding nut using a standard wrench. These Hastelloy tube fittings are commonly used in water connections. Then there’s Type B, sometimes known as manipulative fittings, which are used to connect tubing to flare or belling. To eliminate these types of fittings, a standardized pulling tool is sometimes used to take the nut away from the tube or pipe. Gas lines are the most common application for this fitting.
The compression fittings are intended for use with compression fittings that are either permanent or stationery. These fittings are made to keep pipes from moving away from the fittings. When installing compression fittings, care should be taken not to overtighten them. Plastic pipes should be used with extreme caution since there is a point beyond which compression nut tightening is no longer beneficial.
Application of Hastelloy Compression Tube Fittings
Compression fittings are commonly used in plumbing applications or to connect thin-walled pipes or, in some cases, two pipes and tubes. Hot and cold water faucets, as well as toilet stop valves, are common uses for these fittings. Compression tube fittings are used in a variety of industries, including oil and gas exploration, pharmaceutical plants, chemical plants, paper mills, petrochemical plants, desalination plants, fertilizer plants, food and dairy plants, electric and telecommunications industries, mechanical industries, and automobile manufacturing. A tiny tube fitting is utilized in this way to compress the high pressure in the plumbing system.
