Hridaya Mudra (heart posture)

As the name of this yoga posture is Hriday Mudra, it is practiced to keep the heart-healthy. A good exercise for heart disease. Heart mudra is practiced to avoid heart disease.

 

How to do Heart Mudra

The practice of this mudra is very simple and easy. Heart Mudra can be done anywhere and anytime. But when there is more prana Vayu in the environment then doing it gives more benefit. Heart mudra exercises can also be done in severe conditions of the disease. So let’s know what is the correct method of doing Heart Mudra –

 

Hridaya Mudra-

  • First of all, sit comfortably in any posture of meditation like Sukhasana, Padmasana, or Vajrasana.
  • Keep your head and spine straight.
  • Keep both hands on the knees.
  • Close your eyes and take deep breaths and relax the whole body.
  • Now touch the tips of the index fingers with the root of the thumbs similar to Gyan Mudra or Chin Mudra.
  • Join the tips of the middle finger and ring finger with the tips of the thumb in such a way that all three remain together.
  • Keep your pinky finger straight.
  • In this way, the heart mudra is formed.

 

How long should Hriday Mudra be done?

  • Heart Mudra can be done anywhere and anytime. But when there is more prana air in the environment, then doing it gives more benefit.
  • Initially practice this for 5-10 minutes. As the practice is perfected, the heart pose can be practiced for up to 30 minutes.

 

Reflexes in Hriday Mudra

  • While doing the heart mudra, your awareness should be physically on the breath in the thoracic region.
  • One should spiritually focus on the Anahata Chakra.

How to do Bhairava Mudra? Method of doing Bhairav   Mudra

Bhairav   Mudra –

Bhairav is a form of Lord Shankar. This is the fierce form of Lord Shankar. Lord Shankar in the form of Bhairav causes catastrophe. Both our hands represent the Nadis of Ida and Pingala, and at the same time give a sense of oneness with the Supreme Consciousness of the individual. It is named Bhairav   Mudra after the Bhairav form of Lord Shankar.

 

Method of doing Bhairav   Mudra –

The practice of this mudra is very simple and easy. Bhairav   Mudra can be done anywhere and anytime. But when there is more prana air in the environment, then doing it gives more benefit.

 

Bhairava Mudra  –

  • First of all, sit comfortably in any posture of meditation like Sukhasana, Padmasana, or Vajrasana.
  • Keep your head and spinal cord straight. 
  • Keep both hands in your lap.
  • Close your eyes and take deep breaths and relax the whole body.
  • Now place the right hand on the left hand in such a way that both the palms are facing upwards.
  • Bhairav mudra is formed by placing the right hand on the top.
  • In this exercise, when you place your left hand on the top, it forms Bhairavi Mudra.

 

Benefits of Bhairav Mudra  –

  • This pose is known to bring balance to the parts or hemispheres of your brain.
  • Bhairav   Mudra maintains a balance between the left and right sides of the brain.
  • This mudra develops supreme consciousness in a person.
