What is Udgeetha Pranayama?

Om has to be chanted to perform Udgeetha Pranayama, hence this asana is known as “Omkari Japa” which means “Om chanting”. This pranayama gives breathing exercises. It is very beneficial to do this pranayama in the morning. Therefore this pranayama should be done daily. Because doing this gives physical and spiritual benefits. It is very simple pranayama and a type of meditation practice. Let us know about the method of doing this pranayama and its benefits.

 

Method of doing Udgeeth Pranayama:-

  • First of all, by laying a mat on flat and clean ground, sit on it in the state of Padmasana, Sukhasana.
  • Now take deep and long breaths.
  • Now while exhaling slowly, chant Om.
  • While doing this pranayama, it is very important to focus on the breath.
  • Now repeat this process for 5 to 10 minutes.

Time and duration:-

Take 3-5 seconds while inhaling and exhaling. After that, increase the duration of your practice daily. After practicing daily, this pranayama can be done for 10-20 minutes without stopping.

 

Benefits of Udgeetha Pranayama:-

  • Increases memory power:- With its regular practice, memory power increases. The more we focus on that side, the more intense our thinking power will become.

 

  • Calm down the mind and mind: With regular practice, the mind becomes calm by removing mental stress.  So to get rid of all this, you should do Bhramari Pranayama.

 

  • Get rid of sleep:- By doing this, sleep comes well. It is necessary to get good sleep because it removes fatigue and fills the body with energy, strength, and strength. If you do not get enough sleep, then it can prove to be fatal for you. If you have sleep problems, then you can get rid of the problem of sleeplessness with the practice of this pranayama.

 

  • Reduce high blood pressure: – It is beneficial in high blood temperature. Hypertension or high blood pressure, sometimes called arterial hypertension, is a chronic medical condition in which there is increased blood pressure in the arteries. Because of this increase in pressure, the heart needs to work more than usual to maintain blood flow in the arteries.

 

  • Keeps the nervous system right:- Removes all the problems related to the nervous system. If the nervous system is called the emperor of the body, then there will be no exaggeration, because the brain is also involved in this system. If this system suffers from any disease or disorder, then it becomes difficult to control it.

 

  • Beneficial in constipation and acidity:- By regular practice of this pranayama, one can get rid of constipation and acidity. Constipation is a state of natural alteration of the stomach, in which the amount of excretion is reduced.

Precautions-

This pranayama should be done in the morning on an empty stomach. Udgeetha Pranayama should be done in a quiet place. There should be a gap of at least 5 hours between yoga practice and meals. Doubting the power of “Om Kar” does not yield results of Udit Pranayama. It is very important to have more time for inhalation and exhalation in this pranayama.
